Finally.  It took us a long time.  A very long time.  As early as November 2009 we started working on the first sketches.  After many hours, days and weeks of work, finally, we think we can present you with our new website.  We hope you enjoy it!

This new website was implemented with three goals in mind:

1. Serve all of our visitors equally well.  That's why it's now offered in three languages: Dutch, English and French.
2. Offer interesting information on the first page for 3 categories of visitors: people looking for the latest news about the project ('News'), people who want to know what the project is about ('About'), and those who are following the team members up close and personal ('Blogs').
3. Offer better visibility for our sponsors.  The companies that you see at the top and at the left of the site are very important to the project.  So please, go ahead and visit their website by clicking on the logo's!

The work is far from over yet, however.  The website layout still has some hickups and glitches, and doesn't show as nicely in Internet Explorer as it does in Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox.  In very old versions of Internet Explorer (below 7.0) the layout can get messed up quite badly, even. If you are experiencing issues, we propose you go to www.browserchoice.eu  and install a new browser. We recommend Chrome  a lot, a very easy to use, reliable and fast browser that supports the latest standard.

Not all of the content has been moved from the old site to the new.  We're looking to improve the quality of all pictures and graphics on the old site when migrating the articles.  As this is a time-consuming job, we decided only to move the most important articles for now, and over time, continue migrating the other articles as well.

The same goes for the translations. Translating over 80 articles from the old site to the new, and keeping up with the new articles that appear on the site is not straightforward. Especially if you don't want two, but three different languages.  Thanks to Anneleen, Marlies and Cedric, we can now already offer some content in other languages, but we hope this will grow until we have a perfectly trilingual website!
