Friday evening, March 23rd, Koen Willaert (sailing the Demi clé and the mini Fastnet on board Felicity II) and Bert met at the Gangway Logistics office in Erpe-Mere. After taking in some fuel, they started their long trip towards Douarnenez. During the 9 and a half hour trip they had the chance to talk a lot about the project, items tehy  have to change on the boat or still have to prepare in order to be able to start in the first race in one month. Indeed, the first race (the demi cle, sailed by Michiel Geerling and Koen) starts in little less than one month and the team still has to prepare quite a lot of things. Time is running out, but we all keep working hard and prepare our selves as good as we can!

Koen and Bert reached the nice port of Douarnenez around 3 o’clock in the night and went to sleep, waking up 5 hours later. The Saturday course, meteo strategy, started early that morning.  Saturday evening the two of them worked hard on the boat.  On Sunday they trained on the water against 4 other mini’s. Not only did they sail, but in the mean time our trainer Mikael Hedouis, did a scientific experiment. A detailed story about these physiological measurements will follow later.
